LIVE ON HUNGER
Lisa recorded the first demo of “Hunger”. Then we did a second. When we recorded it for the album we all felt something was missing. We decided to try and write a chorus on the spot. It’s never too late to try something new.
DESIRE
Stevie brought the music to the table, Lisa rocked the vocal. We all rocked out!
SATURN
This came from a jam. The melody pretty much wrote itself.
TRANSISTER
This song began in the bath. I was under the water and I heard Lisa singing, when I came out of the water the music went, so I went back under until I had it. Then jumped out and grabbed a guitar.
WISE BLOOD
This started out as a very different monster but we gave it some horse treatment and Lisa wrote a gangster story.
HAIL LUCID STATE
Started life on a grand piano.
SEVENS
Because we wanted the l.f.o on the synth all the way through this track I recorded the whole of the synth track first then we did drums and bass…fun,fun,fun.
WAKE UP
This was born in Malta. Richard really helped with the redirection of this track. Prompting me to write a new bass line….quickly!
BRAVEST
Andy played this riff when we were rehearsing for the album, we had to get it in there.
WESTERN
As I was going to sleep early one morning, this little beauty started playing to me, it kind of woke me so i grabbed my phone, mumbled into it, and fell asleep again.
