To capture the cover photo, Antoine (our pianist) climbed up onto one of the arches of the Buda Bridge — unofficially and a bit sneakily. There was a security post and surveillance cameras just a few meters away. As the sun set, we had only a few minutes to use the soft evening light and get to the end of the elevated walkway. Right after the shot, a guard spotted us and asked us to come down. We went over to the security post to explain ourselves. The guard scolded us a bit — but once we showed him the photo, he admitted the project looked pretty cool.
Fotograf BARTHÉLEMY DECOBECQ ergänzt zur Wahl der Location:
Barthélemy Decobecq (photographer): For the artwork, we wanted to find a place on the outskirts of Brussels that would symbolize the entrance into the city. We followed the Brussels canal up to Vilvoorde, near the Buda Bridge — a calm, post-industrial location, both poetic and historically loaded. It’s a transitional zone, echoing the album’s title: 4N4LOG CITY. ‚4N4LOG‘ stands for loops, repetition, the analogue nature of our sound, and ‚CITY‘ reflects how urban spaces influence their music.
