Hen Ogledd – Discombobulated

Wir waren vom ersten Moment an ins Cover-Artwork von HEN OGLEDDs jüngster LP Discombobulated verliebt – als wir die Fühler nach einem Beitrag in unserer Cover-Art-Reihe ausstreckten, wussten wir freilich nicht, dass das Kunstwerk von HO-Gründungsmitglied RICHARD DAWSON stammt. Wir haben diesmal also nur eine Stimme zu bieten – dafür aber extra viel Optik. Zunächst Dawsons Zeilen zu seiner Arbeit …

A few Xmasses ago I made a large painting, chopped it up into 36 pieces and distributed it to my friends and family. It now lies strewn across the globe. I’m really happy it’s found another life in the shape of our Discombobulated album cover. I think both the music and the picture have the right spirit – a messy celebration of the wonder of life in the face of terrible adversity (the adversity in this case being: I can’t paint).
