MYSTICAL COMMUNICATION SERVICE + BLUE IN THE FACE live und Party/DJs (Indie/Psychedelic/Shoegaze).

Donnerstag, 25.08.2011 // NBI (Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, Schönhauser Allee 36, U-Bhf. Eberswalder Str. / Tram M10)

Compelled by a lack of new sounds and music made outside of the box, MYSTICAL COMMUNICATION SERVICE is the brainchild of Yanez Di Mompracem (The Tigers of Mompracem/ Dirty & The Girlscouts). What started out as a solo project and chance for the young artist to hone his musical talents, turned organically into an amalgamation of influences and contributions by friends and fellow band mates, as well as family. Now joined by his brother, Gerald Pasqualin (The Pinkrays/ The Purcells) on drums, band mate Yair Karelic (Dirty & The Girlscouts/ Propano) on guitar, and close friend Olaf Boqwist (Blue Kremlin) on bass, MCS veers away from most of the band members‘ experience on the European garage/punk scene and is a refreshing venture into a world of heartfelt blues, psychedelic rhythms and soaring guitars.

Soft Machine, Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band, The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Jefferson Airplane, The Delta Blues, Jay Hawkins, Sun City Girls.

Berlin’s local avantgarde sonic stalwarts BLUE IN THE FACE blend elements borrowed from Hip-hop, Pop, Rock and Industrial to create a sophisticated, visceral sound that oscillates from Noise to Pop and ultimately leaves you slack-jawed in its sedative weirdness-styx.
