Es ist 1979, du fährst im Auto deiner Eltern eine rissige Landstraße entlang und im Radio läuft Musik mit Texten von Zukunftsvisionen, Alltagsflucht und Hoffnung. Der neuaufgelegte Retrosound von DELTAWELLE versetzt den Hörer in eine zeitlose Zeit, findet die richtigen Worte und Töne, um die Spannung der ständigen Gegensätze, auch politischer, zu beschreiben und zu vertonen. Wenn Sänger Franz Schneeweiß das Mikro in die Hand nimmt, ist ihm die Aufmerksamkeit der Zuhörer garantiert. Seine Stimme klingt blank, klar und federleicht, obwohl er von der Bühne zum Protest aufruft. Da regt sich einer auf, da will einer was sagen, da liegt jemandem etwas am Herzen.

Die vier Musiker von DELTAWELLE begreifen sich konsequent als Indie-Musikkapelle: Sie versorgen ihr Publikum mit eingängigen Melodien und poetischen deutschen Texten, schieben aber auch gebrochene Rhythmen und New Wave-Attitüde ein.
Seit einem Jahr spielen Deltawelle erfolgreich in den vielen Clubs ihrer Heimatstadt Berlin. „Dafür, dass es uns erst seit einem Jahr gibt, läuft es unerwartet gut. Wir geben Interviews, spielen viel und arbeiten fast täglich an neuen Songs.“ Zur Zeit nehmen die vier Musiker ihr erstes Album auf, das 2018 erscheinen wird. SKELETON SKIES
The songs should testify a struggle of ideas, feelings or affiliations divided by a slash „/“, just as so many biographies nowadays seemingly define themselves mostly by the slashes between the definitions. SKELETON SKIES is trying to look at the slash, trying to define things by letting them collide and look at the scratch marks, musically moving somewhere between the PrefabSprout-DavidBowie-TheCure-AtTheDriveIn-AztecCamera-PedroTheLion-RitaMitsouko, yet maybe landing mostly in the space between, creating nothing less or more than music and well if you insist on definition, then let’s call it indie/pop.
SKELETON SKIES started as a solo recording project by Frankfurt born, London bred and Berlin based multi-instrumentalist Jorma Ruben with the 2014 release „Times/Tides“.
By the time of the second release „Sleep/Sunrise“ the project had turned into a 5-piece live act, playing first concerts in and around Berlin.
The third EP „Work/Worth“ was released on the 20th of October 2016 as the last instalment in a trilogy of semi-autobiographical 4-Track EPs, witnessing the coming of age of an idée fixe, a music project built from top to bottom.
