EL SHIROTA is a Noise Rock/Post-Hardcore band from Atizapán, Estado de México formed in 2012. Its current lineup is formed by Ignacio Gómez Kurth (guitar, vocals), Mauricio Avendaño (bass, vocals), Rubén Anzaldúa (guitar, vocals) and Gabriel Mendoza (drums). After its foundation in 2012, the band debuted in 2013 with „Chiluca No Es Satélite“ EP.
Prior to the release of their first full-length „Tiempos Raros“ (Devil In The Woods, 2020), the band self-released two EPs between 2015 and 2018, as well as singles “Tarde/Temprano” & “Carreta Furacão” in 2019, the latter became the #1 song of the year by Reactor 105.7’s annual top 107 list, Mexico’s most prominent alternative radio station.
„Tiempos Raros“ granted the band critical acclaim which gave them television and video game exposure through Amazon’s documentary series Chivas: El Rebaño Sagrado as well as Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5.
In 2022 the Mexican quartet released „Niebla“ EP on 7” vinyl via DIW. The release highlights Alonso Salamanca’s (former bassist of the band) collaboration in „Tibio“ ft. Alo, B-side of the record and the band’s first exploration between electronic music and its already characteristic Noise Rock/Post-Hardcore sound.
The noise rock quartet has recently shared singles “Infuyente”, “Así No Fue” and “Segmentaciones”, which all form part of their sophomore album „Ni siquiera estamos listos para hablar“ out on May 12 via Devil In the Woods.

LABASHEEDA are an art-punk & noiserock band from Amsterdam. Labasheeda is known for intense and dynamic shows. They are a raw punk rock band sonically interspersed with hypnotic soundscapes. Tying together a decade of adventurous, sound-evolving albums and changing lineups, Labasheeda’s music has a penchant for concise, stripped down melodies, and quick switches from spacious bass lines and drums to heavy, chaotic, and sometimes anthemic guitar driven songs, drawing comparisons to genre-pushing bands such as Sonic Youth and Sebadoh.
Since its formation in 2004, the band has toured Europe extensively and released various albums on its own label Presto Chango Records, including the internationally well-received „Status Seeking“ (2020). Never Mind the Hype about Labasheeda: “The art punk of Labasheeda can be called pleasantly peculiar. Hints of hardcore, old school post-punk, noise rock and the addition of a violin make for a wonderful all over the place sound.”
