Heute erscheint Her Halo – das neue Album der australischenProgressive-Metal-Band TERAMAZE aus Melbourne. Exklusiv für Popmonitor haben die Mitglieder ihre Songs kommentiert…
AN ORDINARY DREAM (ENLA MOMENTO)
The first and longest track on the album sets the scene for the concept, giving you a taste of everything that is about to come: Love, Madness, Loss, and Rage, with some heavy riffs, cinematic string sections and ending on a soft piano ballad that starts the story, all within a rundown travelling show.
TO LOVE; A TYRANT
This is a song about the love triangle that exists between two men, a clown and a ringmaster and the Trapeze Artist they desire, as she refuses to decide between them.
Here we go into the dark sides of the Trapeze Artist, showing us that she is far from perfect, and glamorous.
OUT OF SUBCONSCIOUS
That is the bridge between strong desire to maddening obsession when the clown character finally becomes overwhelmed by his lust for her.
FOR THE INNOCENT
We take you through the life of the Trapeze Artist, a flash of her past up until now, a glimpse of her beauty that once was, and her passion that once existed.
This song is her performance, the show she brilliantly executes and excites the audience with, using the music as her inspiration and soundscape, until the fatal wrong move…
We are remembering the loss of a loved one with this song, as she takes her steps to the next realm we say goodbye.
DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR
As the grief becomes too difficult to bear, we give you the most progressive ending to the album, when the clown finally slips into madness and fuelled by rage. With his final act, he does what would be unthinkable…
