CAUGHT IN THE SILVER
Just under four minutes of fuzz-tastic fun. A nice tension building intro before the band crashes in and we spend the next three minutes with everything on 11.
BAD TASTE
A swinging shuffle with a heavy fuzz riff. A good live song and the first single from the album and also the first song recorded for the album.
CLAW MACHINE
A bit of a darker vibe on this one. A melotron and synth compliment the fuzz guitars nicely. When we were recording the song we listened to the playback insanely loud in the studio and blew our minds, and eardrums.
SHAKY MIRRORS
This song was hilarious to record. The guitar parts are pretty complicated and there was some hair torn out and much swearing before it was done. Good times. Pushed the needles on the desk into the red.
500 EYES
A creepy verse going into a righteous chorus. It’s got a few little surprises in it which make it a bit unusual for us, and it came together really well. The outro was originally much longer but we had to cut it back on the grounds of good taste. There’s minutes more floating around somewhere…
THAT’S WHAT YOU GET
Using a couple of guitars riffs from our vault we wrote this song in the studio in the spur of the moment. Lots of percussion added to keep the groove flowing. Ask Ben, „Where’s the one?“
CREATURE OF THE WEEK
We came up with the main riff to this song while on tour in Japan I think. This was another one we built and finished in the studio really quick. Featuring some classic 70’s keys from Dolf.
LOOKING GLASS LIES
We had nearly finished making the album when we decided we wanted to add another fast song. We recorded this song in a bizarre costume warehouse in France while on tour. Seriously.
SUN IN MY EYES
A 60’s flavoured song. Less Blue Cheer and a bit more Nuggets. Dig the great backing vocals in the last chorus by Dolf.
DEEP SLEEP
We wanted a song with a laid back feel to finish the album. Deep Sleep was constructed entirely in the studio through experimentation. It is the first time we have had a song with the same name as the album title.
