This is a simple kick-ass tune. One of my favorites. It’s about anything that makes you feel the adrenaline rush, like a new love.
LOVE LIKE POISON
The first single. I loved it the minute I heard it. Cool riff and a great melody. It’s about heartbreak, a bad love, wanting something you know isn’t good for you but the poison drives you back.
BREAKING THE CHAINS
On the melodic side. Mid-tempo. It’s about breaking free, living your life and not missing out.
My absolute favorite. A killer ballad that almost feels like a movie soundtrack. It’s about life, don’t lose yourself in difficult times but stand strong and battle through and you will come out the other end as a winner. Very fun to sing.
STAND MY GROUND
Classic rock with a 70/80’s feel. It’s about what the title says, don’t back down and stand your ground.
It’s the Erik Mårtensson track. Fast and hard, lots of harmonies under a strong chorus. It could almost have been on the latest Eclipse album. It’s about living your life while you can. Carpe Diem motherfucker!
BREAK THE SILENCE
Probably the hardest and most unexpected song on the album. It’s angry and I sing a little bit differently. I love me some heavy music from time to time and this is my Judas Priest/Manson/Rammstein track. It’s about being let down and being pissed off at someone and just hoping they will apologize and make things right. And just a little bit about being possessive.
I love this one. Deep lyrics about love and hate, realizing you’re better off alone than with the person that hurt you.
A to the point love song. You see someone you like and pounce like an animal even though you know you shouldn’t.
Lighter, melodic party song. Could have been on the previous album. It’s about that pre-party vibe. Are you ready? Let’s do this!
DON’T WAKE ME UP
This is the odd track on the album. Moody and different. It’s about being disappointed and let down by someone close to you.
This is my Alice Cooper track, it just reminds me of the songs he put out in the 80/90’s. It’s about being let down and telling someone off.
