ADRIAN QUESADA sagt dazu:
The cover was designed by the team at Preacher, a design company based in Austin, TX. We went back and forth about whether to use a picture by our amazing photographer friend Greg Giannukos – his photos are now inside the sleeve – or something simpler, more graphic oriented and iconic. As we are a new band, we decided to go with a graphic image, something that represented the balance, the yin and yang of us, and also establish an image you would associate with the band forever. The colors are classic and simple – black, red and white – and we loved the boldness of it.
Preacher-Designerin ANNA MCCALEB ergänz:
We first got to know Adrian and Eric through their music as fans. When we were given the chance to collaborate with them, we challenged ourselves to create a single iconic graphic to symbolize the chance meeting of two individual artists, each of which brought their own unique sensibilities and energies to a shared project. The artwork emerged after we immersed ourselves in the band’s sound and aesthetic. We drew inspiration from the past in the same way their music evokes the sounds of the late 1960s and early 1970s and landed on a piece of artwork that felt as timeless, bold and powerful as the music itself.
