That song got me in trouble! (laughs) You know, America is my home. It’s actually built on different cultures. People from all over the planet are coming to America and they are getting along. With that attitude we can change the world. That’s what I wanna say with “God Bless America”. I’m not very satisfied with the presidential stuff going on, police violence and it’s scary that this racist stuff is coming back. I don’t like that. That’s why Obama wanted to ban guns and stuff like that. I think he did a good job.
GOOD TO BE BACK HOME
When you travel so much, and you go back to somebody that you know and you see things that you admire, it just feels so good. I travel all over the world and I see new things, especially when I went to Africa. I saw how people are living there. I thought I’m having a hard time and pain, but looking at the hard time that they are having it just feels good to be back home. You just start to think.
NOBODY BUT YOU
That’s a love song. That’s me when I decide “nobody but you”.
AIN’T GONNA GIVE IT UP
Same thing! (laughs) I’m gonna give it all to that one person that I wanna be with.
CHANGES
I’ve never heard the original „Changes” before. Thom Brenneck brought it to me. I had to use my own personal life to grab the song. I like the lyrics of it. That’s revelation. We’ve talked about what’s going on with the police, kids with guns and racial things. We need love and honesty to change the world to a better place. We need changes.
AIN’T IT A SIN
This is the true devilment of me. I’m saying “don’t do me wrong, and I won’t do you wrong”. We gotta make it right over the world, so I’m taking my anger and I’m showing you my sweetness. A lot of people have anger and they push it out. They live on it and they do well on it. We gotta take that same anger that you have inside you and turn it into beauty. That’s what I did. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you. I found out that love is the greatest key to life.
THINGS TO DO FOR LOVE
We’ve talked about love and how to make this a better place. Sometimes you forget yourself of all the hate and racial things, but If I wanna turn to hate, I will never be here again. My strength is my love. That’s what this track also is about. It takes some people to forgive.
CRAZY FOR YOU LOVE
When you love somebody so deeply, and you could watch him or her all day – even when this person is doing stupid things – you’re crazy for their love. That’s what that is.
YOU THINK I DON’T KNOW, BUT I KNOW
That’s about music industry. People did mean things to me and I’m not a person that pushes the issue. I watch you, I see you and what you are doing to me. You think I don’t know, but I know.
CHANGE FOR THE WORLD
People need to change. If you change for love, then be a strong lover. When people that hurt you come towards you, show your love and be strong. When you know that you’re right and honest then show a person who wants to know down your world your deepest emotion.
