Mit „The Match“ veröffentlicht die italienische Singer/Songwriterin Claudia Ferretti aka CLAUDIA IS ON THE SOFA am 22.04.22 ihre neue Single via Riff Records (Italien) und Solaris Empire (Deutschland) – und wir präsentieren das dazugehörige Video am 20.04. exklusiv.
Das gefühlvoll-introspektive „The Match“ entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Multiinstrumentalisten und Songwriter Alessandro “Asso” Stefana (der u.a. bereits mit PJ Harvey und Vinicio Capossela zusammmengearbeitet hat) und spiegelt mittels schimmernder Untermalung von Mellotron und Gitarre sowie Claudias ätherischen Vocals die Message des Songs wider: sich selbst zu akzeptieren, auch wenn es etwas gibt, das einem selbst (oder anderen) nicht gefällt. Es ist eine Anerkennung des eigenen Selbst in einer Zeit des Lebens, indem man ganz im Bewusstsein des gegenwärtigen Moments bleibt.

„I asked Manuela Samperi to design an internal location using the contrast of black graphite, representing sheets of paper stuck to the walls of an interior prison. These sheets are nothing more than solitary thoughts that detach themselves from the walls to become leaves on the wind in the new watercolor world made of trees and delicate colors. Paper becomes memories of something that was and is no more. The green screen technique associated with drawings and watercolours creates the right mix to give a magical and fairytale atmosphere capable of evoking personal places of being”.
